the Indians are fighting back. Sucks, but good thing we have depth there

Tough loss. He was in the mix for back up reps

Damn. Liked him. Won't hurt us at the position, but he's an exciting young player

Please don't let the butcher do the repair. Send his ass to Jackson

Does this guarantee we will not redshirt Smokey Graham ? He was the only true freshman I would probably play this year

The two JUCO guys Joquell Johnson & Hutcherson will obviously play

The only other freshman I would consider would be Cory Thomas but we are so deep on the DL I think he RS . Gerri Green and Jesse Jackson both are coming off injuries their Sr year in high school

Hopefully, he'll go to Andrews in Birmingham.

Neither of them are acting like they came off injuries though.

This would've hurt us a lot in the past but thankfully we're loaded and he'll qualify for a medical waiver (I assume).

I think this will help Smokey's case to play this year some even though Christy isn't a slot.

Hopefully, he'll go to Andrews in Birmingham.

Or even better, send him to Texas Orthopedic in Houston. A significant percentage of professional athletes go there.

I hate to hear it. I was ready to see what this guy had to offer. I know sitting for a year with a redshirt and then sitting a year with a medical redshirt is hard on a player to handle. Hope he has the long game in mind and know that he can come back and be the type of player he wanted to be next year.

It's tough to handle these setbacks as an athlete.

Heard that Gerri looks great.

So jesse looking good too?

That's really unfortunate for him. He appeared to be working very hard. Hoping for a speedy recovery. James Andrews needs to do his surgery

Not sure where he was lining up this fall, but in the spring Christy was in the slot.

If we had a position we could take a hit from a backup in, WR is probably it. Terrible for Christy though. He looked good in the spring game. He will make an impact when he gets past this.

Certainly not the worse loss, you're right, as far as the team goes.

Let's hope he recovers well and gets back to 100% next year. Met him a few times, seemed like a really nice kid.

Had he already had an ACL injury? Or did he just redshirt for normal reasons?

His redshirt was just for development reasons, not injury related. Won't be a major blow to the receiving corps this year given he would have likely gotten little playing time but the question is now will he recover back 100% by next year?

Really hate that for him. Was looking forward to seeing what he could do on the field.

Agree, Cadaver. Don't think he was going to be in the mix this season, but he had me really excited after this year. Hopefully he heals up and comes back quickly.

I am sure some uneducated media member will use this as a reason to drop us in the polls.
