It looks like Dak is part Indian. His grandfather was part of the Choctaw Apache tribe in Ebarb.

And then keep a banner of Dak hung in the stadium from now on to keep the dead native spirits at bay. I think that's how it works.

Hey, maybe we can invite the Choctaw chief and medicine men to a game. We'd win the West and the NC!!!
