MIF Delvin Zinn of Pontotoc. 5-11 170 class of 2015. I don't know anything about him.

Interesting. He referred to us as the "University of Mississippi State" on twitter. I figured he had to be from out of the region.

I know Zinn he grew up playing football and baseball with my son.
Great athlete but I have not seen him play in high school.
He has always been a good,respectable kid who's dad is/was very involved in his life.

Apparently, the coaches feel is has potential. If anyone knows what kind of player he is please share.

HS pitcher at Pontotoc in the mid 80's.

From what folks are saying on Genespage, they really like him. Very athletic and can play, he is a second baseman.

Kind of an odd pick up since we need a corner infield guy more than another middle infielder. He didn't dominate 4A baseball hitting in the mid .300's and he made 15 errors. I'll watch him and see how he does his senior year.

Sounds like a walk-on type of kid. If hes a middle IF i'm guessing he bats left handed.

there's a good free write up on him this morning on gene's page. yall maybe underestimating this guy. good read.

Being from Pontotoc, this makes me proud. Between Reggie Zinn and Terry Bean, he has good surroundings for baseball. Blacks in the Pontotoc area have always seemed very talented in baseball

us.........Pontotoc was loaded with baseball talent in the early 80's........You had guys like Reggie Zinn, Terry Harmonic Bean (could pitch with either arm), Stacey Chew, Steven Pegues (1st round pick), Neil and Gerald Roberson......They were legit.........Wesley Walls (former UM player and nfl tight end) was also a very good baseball player as well.......

A solid defensive MIF that bats .350, has a pedigree, and can run is always useful. Cohen doesn't recruit a lot of guys that can't play defense.

Since it's 4A baseball in Mississippi, I want to see him hit at least .400. I'm not too down on him though- he had offers from every in state school and he also played basketball last year. If he focuses on baseball only, he will probobly get to that .400 mark.
