So his he there or not? Was he in meetings yesterday? I'm more concerned about that than anything else right now.

No clue if he was in meetings but he is listed on the roster released yesterday. That has to be a good sign

I just saw him listed on the roster myself. That makes me feel better. Hopefully we will hear good things quickly.

Someone did mention why he was a sophomore as opposed to a RS freshman. That's a good question

He's apparently been here at least since spring. Found this nugget from Logan Lowery in March.

Walk-on quarterback Josiah Phillips had a 40-yard scramble.

Signs point to Yes. He posted about his jersey # and how he is ready for the season to begin.

That guy is all State already. Had no idea. He even cracks on Ole Miss and talks about being in love with Starkville multiple times.

Comes from an amazing family. His dad passed away last year of cancer but spent many many years on campus ministering and mentoring students including Kyle York. One of his brothers own FATCO on hwy 82 between Eupora and Mathiston.

I was assuming he had a Tebow-type deal that let him play for an area public school or private school.

Damn you. I just spit coke all over my front window in my truck when I read that. I was thinking something very similar when I read where he played. Dammit

He played in a homeschool flag league. His brother is the walk on safety that caught an interception 3 spring games ago.

Only 2 schools had A worse FG conversion rate than MSU last Year. So , we must get a whole lot better.
