Throwback play against Troy

Was watching this play again to pass time until we take the field live and just loved how perfectly executed it was. Also saw where we had linemen outrunning either a LB or safety for Troy. The Troy player was #7. Didn't catch the number for our lineman. Not that it would have mattered because Dak just completely outran him too. But one thing that I missed seeing it live was the poise that Jameon showed. He took the time to sale the play with the pump fake down the sideline to keep the secondary on the wrong side of the field even though he had a lineman breathing down his neck getting ready to deliver a blow. It would have been easy to see that and rush the play not allowing it to develop.

I love this play. So many options. Lewis could keep it and run, could throw it up the field like he did to Bear at TAMU, or the throw back to Dak.

Jameon was clutch last year throwing the ball. What was he 3/3 with 3 touchdowns? With 2 throwbacks to Dak and then the reverse pass to Morrow against A&M?

I'm completely screwed up timewise. I didn't think Rufus was moved over to tackle until bowl practices. Am I just a year behind on that?

I may be wrong but I don't think it matters if the pass doesn't cross the line of scrimmage.

Seconded, but it does take away the downfield option of throwing the ball to Bear. Still a great job of getting out in front of the play by the OL. Dak had lead blocking all the way until he dove into the endzone.

That is correct. If the pass is behind the LOS then it doesn't matter. Same way that there is no pass interference behind the line.

You know, I looked back and 77 THIS year is Warren, but last year was Siddoway, which makes more sense. Now, I have no idea what is accurate. Just going by the MSU site.

You're right haha. I just knew warren wasn't 77. He was 82 last season I think. And I said Clausell bc I looked at the pic gallery from the game and saw one very blurry picture with 77 in it and thought it was a C. Guess it was an S haha
