Shae Simmons to dl. Jamie to replace him (http://www.talkingchop.com/2014/7/29/5949161/shae-simmons-goes-on-the-disabled-list)

Jhey nursing a sore back

Gotta face Beckett, greinke, and kershaw the next 3 days.

This will be a nice test.

I'll be happy if we avoid the sweep

was more interested in the Denorfia trade article. If they could add him cheap and go grab a lefty they'd be pretty set going into the playoffs (assuming everyone gets healthy).

so did Uggla before he got too old. denorfia is 34 and has been terrible this year.

he can be used to PH, play outfield in defensive spots late in games, and in case of injury. No one is expecting him to be a savior and they damn sure aren't giving him an undeserving massive salary. He'll be a Brave for 4 months if it happens.

but right now he's no better than what they already have, so why give up even a bag of balls for him, let alone a prospect?

This is the type regular season series the braves win... Then October rolls around and things change significantly.

He kills our lefties, so I don't want anyone to get him against us. He's 5-10 against gio so that's a plus. Chris has also hit 3 hr's off kershaw.
