I consider this an omen. I'm old enough and fan enough to remember Jack going on about Lewis Grubbs and Hal Chelander, the desolation that was Charley Shira, LSU's extra down, and on and on. Five decades of museum grade football misery with only fleeting pleasures.
I think this year might redeem the whole enterprise.
