Vick was carted off the field during practice today, lets hope this isn't too serious. He could be very productive if he can stay healthy.

Yes, I hope it's just cautionary. I just hope he doesn't turn out like Jerious Norwood. So much potential, just injury prone

Torn achilles. Damn. Probably out for the season.

Probably nothing... If it's really torn that's 12 month rehab... Probably it for him in the NFL... Hate it

Hate that for him.

What were we doing under Balis to reduce injuries? I know that players were playing through things but it seemed like we avoided a lot of injuries under his program.

I'm seeing torn achilles tendon. That's done for the year right there if that's truly the case. That's extremely sad because he's a 1,000 yard caliber RB in the NFL and has worked very hard to get back from the ACL. Had over 800 yards in 2012 in only 12 games started and he got very few carries those first 6 weeks. Really hate this for him because that's two season ending injuries in back to back years.

My wife tore her Achilles last August. She worked her ass off and she has turned out better than most according to dr. She still experiences swelling after just a light workout. It made be tougher than acL to recover from. Especially with the advances in knee surgery and rehab.

I hate it for Ballard but if any pro RB can come back, it's him. Workhorse!

One of my favorite Dawgs of all time. I really hate this. Vick puts a lot of effort into his play, and trains extremely hard. I hope he doesn't get too discouraged.

Man, what a blow......I was really looking forward to watching our former tailback, who in two years amassed over 2,100 yards rushing and 30 TDs (in just 2 years, mind you), who was a JC transfer with no other SEC scholarship offers, from a humble life in Pascagoula MS start over Trent "don't draft rb's in the first round" Richardson.

As a fellow coastie, and a true definition of 'grinder', Vick is one of my favorite Bulldogs. I really hope he comes back from this.

very well said. I'm so upset about this.

Get up Vick! I hope he's well, and it's not serious. I didn't play for P'Goula, but I was born there. Regardless, he's a fellow MState Dog, and I was really looking forward to watching him this season.
