I hinted at this in another thread but the more I have thought about this the more it really makes me glad we have the coaching staff we do. When tsun gets a commit they send out a tweet about catching a fish. To me that means they had to throw out some bait to make the prospect think it is something it is not and then they get hooked, caught, and drug into the boat. When we get a commit a member of our staff sends out a tweet basically saying welcome to the family. I really think there is a fundamental difference in how the respective staffs view these kids. One is all about me look at what I did. The other is welcome home son...let's see how good we can make each other and in the process give you the best chance at a successful future.

Swan Lake maybe, but I think the same way on how our team handles this versus theirs.

It's called objectification. They see the player simply as a means to an end. We see players as an end with meaning.
