Some fraternity brothers and I are planning to make the trip down to LSU this season. Are the tickets through State any good? And what are y'alls recommendations in Baton Rouge? I'm a first timer.

Hope you have a lot of patience and very thick skin. I live in Baton Rouge and these coon asses can really get annoying, especially when it comes to LSU and corn dogs

Baton rouge is awesome. I always stay over by the interstate next to that ruths chris and ninfas.

I love going to chimes but freds and the college scene is probably where you will have the most fun. Assuming you like young, horny women, loud music and beer.

The only time I went was in 2004. Maybe the worst game ever, ha. Plus it was brutally hot. It was so bad LSU fans gave me and my 4 friends tickets. But I was in college and that weekend is without a doubt the most memorable I ever had. Even if you aren't able to get tickets, it should be a mandatory trip while in college.

Well, I assure you that you'd rather sit with a bunch of dogs than in the middle of a tiger section outnumbered 50 to 1. They will not let you enjoy the game.

I've gone basically every other year since 2000. We have normally bought through msu but elected to go the stub hub route this year. You are either going to be lower level endzone or upper deck at the goal line

Unless you like drunk Cajuns throwing whiskey bottles at you, spitting on you, cursing at you, and who knows what else, I wouldn't even consider getting tickets except through our ticket office. They are the meanest bastards on the planet.

Make sure you go early on the day that student season and away tickets are sold. I went a couple of years ago and had pretty solid seats with the ones I purchased as a student. Definitely a fun trip, but prepared to be tiger baited all day

go to George's under the bridge and then walk across the street to the bars there. Chimes and Walk Ons are good too. Eat at George's while you're there though. it's an institution. cool joint.

I've gone every year for football since 04'. We've always scalped tickets and sat with the LSU fans and have never had a bad time. If you want a little more relaxed scene check out The Red Zeppelin, the pizza's good and the pitchers are priced very well by BR standards.
