our def backfield is morphing into a monster with what we have now and tomorrow
ETA - maybe I should have said entire defense instead of specific parts

I see he has an TSUN offer too per 24/7. Wonder if they don't want him now.

6'3 200 lb safety, 3* recruit. Possible position change when he gets bigger?

It wasn't a commitable offer. They didn't want him anyways**

Could be true. But I'm thinking of him more as a LB.

Goodness, I have no idea how the numbers end up working out. That puts us up to 26 commits and I know we are certainly hard after Lewis, Adams and Campbell besides needing 2 to 3 more OL. Guess that's what we pay the coaches for though.

Lewis
Adams
Campbell
Bates
Danley
2 more OL
Numbers will work themselves out...

With the McClaurin commit, we are now a Fletcher Adams commitment away from having Leo Lewis completely encircled and seiged.

May only be 2 more OL. If we can get Danley & Darryl Williams in Aug/Sept we may be done unless we can pull Rankin or Patterson.

Let's get Lewis, Adams, Patterson, Rankin, Danley, Campbell and call it a day
ETA: And Bates, forgot to put Bates

Per Yancy, McLaurin DID have a committable offer. Can't believe he admitted that.

Gotta find a spot for Jalen Bates. He's that good coming off the edge. You don't let that talent get away.

He's already pretty high up my list of favorites because of his apparent moxie in handling this recruitment. I see it clearly because it's exactly how I would have handled it.
- He was one of a handful of guys projected for the last Dandy Dozen spot.
- He knew about the political correctness of the Dandy Dozen on committed players.
- He doesn't commit at BDC for this reason. As an "open" recruitment, he increases his chances of making the DD.
- Once Linton gets the last spot in the DD(technically will be Hibbler, but that one is prettymuch set in stone), "his" spot if you will, he commits within 2 hours thereafter.
Maybe that's just me projecting -- but it sure does fit.
And yes, I think he/Linton are prettymuch the same player... and McLaurin has had the more impressive highschool career up until this point.

This is what I was thinking or TE/FB possibly, 4.86 40 is going to be tough to play at WR

We'll see about that...
3 HS OL in back to back classes is asking for trouble.
Some guys in this class are going to be greyshirt and/or placement guys with the numbers crunch and grades. We just don't advertise it to the public like others do...

Has Matt Womack been picked for Dandy Dozen yet? If not, I would assume that he will be selected tomorrow as the final dandy dozen member.

We've got 3-4 early guys who will enroll early taking some spots from last year. Perhaps a couple don't make it (just usual percentages, I assume they all will make it until I hear otherwise). PJ has been saying 30ish for a while now. We have room for:
Patterson
Lewis
Adams
Campbell
They just need to come claim their seat at DawgFam15 will be one for the record books!

He's run 4.5 at all 4 college camps he attended this summer. With that said he'll prolly grow into a OLB. He weighed in at 210lbs at Big Dawg.

McLaurin is a player.... so now we have Peters, Mclaurin and Wilson to go with Brandon Bryant and JT Gray from last year... the OLB/ Safety spot will have good players on the bench

I will be shocked if we turn Bates away if he wants to come considering PJ called him a 3 and done type player. It sure is a good problem to have, and light years away from the Keon Humphries / Johnathan Lowe type recruiting.

Bates film is really really good.. He reminds me of AJ Jefferson with more length... plays really hard

Yeah, Bates has a spot no doubt. As does Danley.
We can only sign 25 in this "class" -- meaning the only way we make the "30-31" number is in EE's. As of today, I think we've got 3 EEs. Will need a couple more.

We very well may add another HS OL but #'s wise we'd be ok next year with taking 4 OL this class. 2015 we'd have 16 OL with 3 of them being sr's if Joq doesn't redshirt.

Guys like Dear, Wilson, Virgil, Joseph, Tiano, & Murphy are all EE. 3 of those guys can count back to go along with Gray, Calvin, & hopefully Danley.

I agree with this. Also, Cochran will probably gray shirt which would throw him into this class.
