Bob Stoops, Ohio State fans, and Clemson fans would love to see a shutout. Looking at the BCS era, I think the SEC would have been shutout 3 times with the last being 2005. Since 2005, the SEC would have averaged 2 teams. If Miami, USC, and Texas get good again, things definitely change. If Saban and Meyer had never come south, how different things would be.

1998: Tennessee, Florida State, Ohio State, Arizona State (1/4)
1999: Florida State, Virginia Tech, Nebraska, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin (0/4)
2000: Oklahoma, Florida State, Miami, Washington (0/4)
2001: Miami, Nebraska, Oregon, Tennessee/Florida (1/4)
2002: Miami, Ohio State, Georgia, USC (1/4)
2003: Oklahoma, LSU, USC, Miami/Ohio State (1/4)
2004: USC, Oklahoma, Auburn, Texas/Utah (1/4)
2005: Texas, USC, Penn State, Ohio State/West Virginia (0/4)
2006: Ohio State, Florida, LSU, Michigan/USC (2/4)
2007: Ohio State, LSU, Georgia, Kansas/USC (2/4)
2008: Florida, Oklahoma, Texas, USC/Alabama/Utah (2/4)
2009: Alabama, Texas, Florida, TCU/Boise St (2/4)
2010: Auburn, Oregon, TCU, Stanford/Wisconsin (1/4)
2011: LSU, Alabama, Ok State, Oregon/Stanford (2/4)
2012: Alabama, Catfish, Oregon, Georgia/Florida/Texas A&M (2/4)
2013: Florida State, Auburn, Michigan State, Alabama (2/4)

I think you will see an SEC team in the game this year. That could just be because I've gotten used to SEC teams playing for the championship though...

I would love for Miami to come back to form. I've always enjoyed watching Miami play and don't harbor any hard feelings against them for the antics.

Is this the University of Catfish? Or is this Catfish State? I have no idea.

Possible if all top SEC schools have 2 losses. But a one loss team will get in. I can't see perfect records out of all the other 4 super conferences.

Any football committee with Archie on it, is basically ran by Archie. I know he's not the head in title, but make no mistake, his opinion will influence the entire group. A 1 loss SEC team will always get in. Maybe even a 2 loss team depending on other factors.

Unless said team is MSU?

When I looked at the pre-bowl rankings 1998-2013, I don't appraise a 1-loss SEC team outside of the top-4. The SEC championship game remains an asset to 1-loss SEC teams to improve SOS. However, I wonder how the playoffs would handle the 2008 situation after Tebow’s 1-loss Florida gave undefeated Bama a loss in the SEC CG, USC, Alabama, and Utah would have been candidates for the 4-spot. Would the selection committee feel pressure to select USC or a darling underdog like Utah? My bias selected Bama and gave the SEC 2 teams

I can say with a high degree of confidence that every SEC champion from here until the end of time will have a spot in the championship series. Even if one has two losses.

The SEC has been superior to all the other conferences for more than a decade now, and the new SEC network is going to make the gap even larger. The money involved is way too significant.

I don't care how much Bob Stoops cries into a microphone about it. This is the world we all live in now.

$$$$$$$$$$$

The SEC Network is projected to be the fourth or fifth largest sports network on the planet. The SEC winner will always have a seat at the table.
