Freeze is such a damn magician he can travel through time and show a recruits 'Tweets from the Future'!

UGA ain't getting blindsided again by Freeze.

That damn Hugh Freeze doesn't have anything, so he has to photoshop EVERYTHING. Hell, too bad he can't photoshop the ability to develop talent and coach up players into his own repertoire.

Just when you think OM can't get any more desperate or embarrassing, they do this.

What is that an iPhone 3? Come on coach.

This is a small thing, but can he legally use the logos of those recruiting services and Herbstreit's photo? Who knows...maybe Kirk is pimping for the Bears now. Seems like he would need to have permission for that kind of thing.

In the end, I prefer Coach Collins' hand drawn cans of swag.

Makes you wonder if Scout/247/Herbstreit approve of their likeness being used for recruiting purposes. Potential violation for Herbstreit (through his likeness) to directly contact recruits?

Would be something worth checking on for any recruitniks, if not for just giving Freeze a hard time.

However....

I could see some Fark gold in the near future.

I sent this to my buddy who works in the compliance dept at La Tech. He was gonna check into it personally and see if any rules are broken.

Is anyone really surprised? At this point, I think UM/Hugh Freeze are the undisputed champions of using photoshop to claim fake accomplishments.

And my personal favorites- using photoshop to imply that you coached a player that you never actually coached. Seriously, this would be the equivalent of Deshea Townsend taking a picture of himself and photoshopping Fred Smoot and Robert Bean in the background.

Frankly, I think it's kinda cool. I mean, legality of stealing likeness aside, the tweets are an interesting idea. It's just one tiny thing, and I think it's clever. It shows what they truly care about, but it's clever. No problem with it

I thought they didn't need safeties. They are "stacked" there, right?

I'd be pissed if I was Herbstriet. They are blatantly using his likeness to recruit, seemingly without his permission.

And Apple. Wonder how Apple feels about having an iPhone in that ad.

Proves that the Rebs have no evaluation process of players....they seem to know Rivals, Scout, and 247 ratings by heart. This is why they will never win at a high level IMO. They will never discover a Chris Jones, BMac, Dak Prescott, etc...

I can't remember who it was he sent that to? was it Cedric Giles?

The cans of swag went to Marlon Humphries, I thought. I could be wrong, though.

Agreed. This is a really good idea. As long as nothing is 'legally' wrong with it, we should do it or something similar.

Edit: It's also really well done.

I'll be honest, I don't think this is desperate or dumbos anything. They're trying to be creative.

But I just don't get how that is ultimately effective. Would seeing a fake tweet saying I'm going to a specific school make me actually want to go to that school? I just don't see it.

As much as Collins was killed for his 'can of swag,' that was far more effective.

My God there is something wrong with them. It really is. They do some stupid and desperate shit when they recruit. Then 19 times out of 20 these recruits they practically worship to get end up getting in trouble, transferring or just don't pan out.

100% AGREE! Don't hate! Imitate! Especially when WE can back up our talk with results! I have a feeling THIS year will go along in giving us credence with our words, whereas Ole Miss....eh..... not so much.

OM is more concerned about winning in Feb than winning on the field. No doubt they have signed some great players on PAPER, but some of those guys don't ever pan out. Our staff evaluates players then offers we may not win in Feb, or on paper but we do on the field. 4-1

The main difference is Mullen can bring back the NFL players ( that are starting) he has coached for things such as BDC. Bucky can only do cardbaord cutouts of NFL players that just happened to have attended TSUN. I would say that he could see if the actual players would come back but that is a risky proposition to promise that just in case they can't make bail. Isn't that right Greg Hardy?
