Haha seems like every year we find a new "I've literally never heard of them". At least we didn't pull a Syracuse and never left our own state till January like they did a few years ago. But yea this schedule is brutally bad imo. 5 decent games and that is it. No NCAA for us this year.

State school in GA - just south of ATL - play in the Peach Belt Conference

Definitely a shot at the NIT with this schedule, in the end if you compete in the SEC and your in conference results are solid you're going to get a look. RPI for SEC opponents is hard to project at this point as well. I like the SLU game and the FSU game, those are great. Most of the others are just decent and there are definitely a few cupcakes. I just want to see MSU post a winning season, make a run at the SEC tournament and be competitive and anything that happens beyond that is gravy.

I'm happy that they are doing a game in Jackson again.

That's kind of a Christmas tradition for me.

with that crummy lineup we should be 11-2.

4 losses would be very disappointing, anything more than that would be just awful.

Apparently you've never seen a Rick Standsbury schedule

pretty tough compared to what we used to play OOC

10-3 with losses to St Louis, Oregon St, and Florida St

I think we will go 8-10 in conference and finish 18-13 (no NIT).That will be enough for Ray to get a 4th year

No it isn't. Will any of those teams be ranked in the top 25? Maybe Florida St. Stansbury always had shit OOC schedules but he did at least schedule 1-2 ranked teams every year. This OOC schedule gives us almost no chance to get into the tournament from the get go. Stansbury's OOC was a problem and this new one certainly isn't an improvement. The SEC is weak in the pecking order so it is imperative that we have a top 50 OOC schedule. No exceptions till the SEC is a top 1-2 conference again.

With this ooc how many do u have to win to get to Nit? Ncaa?

All depends on how many we also win in SEC but I'll play and take a guess. If we go 8-10 in SEC play then 8-9 wins OOC should be bubble NIT. If we go 12-6 SEC and 10-3 OOC we should be bubble NCAA. 22-9 puts us on the bubble. Odds are not good.
