View Full Version : Why does LSU football seem to have the most fight/hitting/domestic dispute problems?

A LSU freshman football player was injured today when he punched through the glass in the weight room, and it got me wondering why fighting, punching, and domestic disputes (Jordan Jefferson, Jeremy Hill, and now the freshman, ect..) seem common to that football team?

I don't know if there is near enough evidence to support steroid allegations, but after seeing LSU baseball teams of the mid-90s and 2000s and ULL's baseball team this season, would it really be that surprising if LSU football players had access to PED's and that could be the reason for some of these outbursts?

Again, I am just bring up a sensitive topic for discussion. I know many schools have weed problems, DUI issues, etc.., but is there another that seems to have fighting/roid rage type problems?

Maybe it's just part of cajun culture and something that happens down there more than anywhere else. I am just noticing a trend, and attempting to find out why....

Roid rage

Roid rage?

Again, I'm not saying that is what it is, but that could be a plausible explanation for why they seem to be having more of these "Aggressive" type violations than anyone else. I'm just throwing out things, not saying I believe that, just asking for theories because it seems to be a trend.

This thread isn't going the direction that I hoped. I was actually looking for some real insight and theories for why they seem to have a bigger problem with these type of issues than anyone else.

I have always thought that lsu had some of the most physical football players in the conference. It always seems like they have players that absolutely love contact. Something about louisiana culture?

I think your last paragraph is the main answer. Look at how Lsu plays football, they are the most physical team in the country every year, along with Bama. They are more violent on and off the field.

Les has been known to overlook a character issue or six, in his day. I'm sure this has nothing to do with their off field troubles though. And yes, Metroburger did get sucker punched in a Nashville bar today/tonight.

I believe it's the fact that they know they won't face discipline

They get the best athletes year in and year out. That goes hand in hand with legal trouble and dim bulbs in general. Miami used to be pretty bad, LSU is getting better athletes now than Miami.
