We are going to pick the SEC this year. Please make sure that your number of wins correlate with your picks. If one of the other Mods could add their schedule I'd be appreciative.

I say 4-8 (1-7) I don't know which SEC game they win, but I think they get 1. I think they win all OOC games except Texas Tech

Going 6-6 with a surprise win over TAMU.

Wow, that would be a surprise. Who all do you have them beating?

4-8 with a win over A&M, although they could easily go 3-9...

3-9. If TTU was in Arky, I say they win, but its not. I don't think they are as bad as a 3-9 team, but its the West. Brutal if you're just an average team, which I think they are.

I have a feeling Arkansas is about to be left in the dust in the SECW for the next couple of years to come.

- There's not a whole lot of in-state talent.
- They used to be able to recruit in MO and TX a little. Now that Mizzou and A&M are in the SEC this is tougher.
- State and Ole Miss are on the upswing and claming the MS guys, as well as left overs from LA, TN, AL, GA etc. (Where MS is closer to home than AR)
- I don't think Bielema's style is attractive unless you are a RB or OL, MAYBE QB, especially when compared to State and Ole Miss
- They have to play Missouri every year

4-8. I say they win one SEC game. I know it's wishful thinking but they could beat Ole Miss. I say this because I don't think Ole Miss's defense is built to take a pounding.

I pondered that for a while too. Think they could very well win that one at home

4-8 and beat a depleted OM team in a slugfest. OM now gets to see what it's like to play in Arkansas in late November.

4-8 they beat Ole Miss after their O-line falls apart.

I almost don't want them to beat OM. Playing any team, especially a rival, in the last game of the year and they are fighting for a bowl is never good. Which I would have to assume would be their situation if they were to lose to Arky

4-8. Lose to TTech OOC but catch an SEC team napping. Maybe aTm or TSUN. 3-9 definite possibility, though.

I side with this. I think you will see a slightly improved defense which might hold them in some games but the style he runs isn't exactly the style you want playing from behind when you need a score. It will take him time to build that while trying to keep other teams from poaching their recruits. Can't ever completely discredit a team with a running back like Collins I felt like he was a few steps away from busting some runs open last season not that I am saying it would have changed the season they had.

I'm going 4 - 8. Here's my breakdown:

@Auburn- L, self-explanatory.
Nicholls Sate- W, I can't comment on Nicholls State but if Arkansas loses this one they might not win another all year. I expect a W.
@Texas Tech- L, I don't think they have offense to score enough to keep up with Tech, they'll lose a shootout.
NIU- W
A&M- Toss Up, I think it could go either way.
Alabama- L, self-explanatory.
UGA- L
UAB- W, but this one could be tight. I watched them play USM and it was too close for comfort at one point in the game, you never know.
@MSU- L
LSU- L
Ole Miss- Toss up because I hate Ole Miss and can't predict them to win anything.
@Mizzou- L, Mauk goes crazy and secures 2nd team All-SEC in this game.

I've got 3 wins here and 2 toss ups, so I'll give them one of those and call it 4. Will be interesting to see if Bielema can keep his job with 4 wins.

6-6 overall (2-6 SEC)

Wins:
Nicholls
No. Illinois
Tx. Tech
Tx. A&M
UAB
Ole Miss

ETA: Changed Ole Miss to win because of timing. Bears will be looking past them to Egg Bowl even though we're not their rival

I don't know much about them but if bielemA can install his type of play on offense, and the defense is decent, they could be in a few games late and if they catch a break could win one or two that they aren't supposed to. But if their defense sucks so will they and could be a long year.
