2015 RHP, he is 6-3 190. I can't see him in PG what ranking etc. I expect players from Mid West now we got the new 1B coach from Iowa.

The strong-framed 6-foot-2, 190-pound Cyr is widely regarded as one of the top class of 2015 pitchers in the area and is front and center on the radar screen of nearby major college baseball programs. He throws from a high ? slot with clean arm action and has excellent body control throughout his delivery – definitely a pitcher very capable of developing high-level command down the road. He worked in the 82-86 mph range with his fastball, displaying late downward sinking action. He also showed command of an upper 60’s knuckle curve ball and mid-70’s sinking change up. One thing to keep in mind about Cyr is he also plays football, helping Blue Valley HS capture the state championship just weeks ago so he’s still transitioning from football to baseball mode, I would anticipate mid-80’s turning into upper 80’s once he loosens up this spring. Cyr plays for the Mac N Seitz organization out of Kansas City, Missouri in the summer. To Cyr's pitching video from Saturday click here.

The previous write up is from Prep Baseball Report (PBR). Another good source besides PG.

His recruitment had nothing to so w Dillon being on staff. We were already recruiting him prior to the hire. It might it the future, however.

I assumed they had connections, anyway, I do expect more from the mid west. Great area to recruit. The 2015 class is definately top 10 in the nation, if we lose 1 to MLB, it still be top 10 IMO.

Its amazing how our recruiting has taken off from a national perspective since the Omaha run. CA, TX, FL, KS, etc... 2015 gonna be a monster class.

Just by looking at the 2016 roster, I think we need another MIF and a 1B/3B.

We discussed after losing Burdick but no doubt we need another stud SS/2B type to come in and be ready for year after next when we lose Heck and Britton and there is the possibility we lose the FSU transfer a year early.

Oh, yea. We might lose 3 next year, 2 for sure. But I wouldn't be surprised we have a walk on in the fall that will be RS for next year. It is a yearly staple to get a JC MIF with Cohen. His track record is damn good with them. Ogden, Vickerson and Pirtle come to mind. All 3 are darn good players.

As of now, I'd say it's probably #1 in the country by a pretty nice margin... Now, whether or not the draft kills us will be interesting to see...

Cyr is basically from Kansas City.

He went 5-2 with an ERA of 1.79 and he struck out 57 in 58.2 IP last year. He made the all Kansas City Metro team last year and was one of two pitchers on the team.

KC is a good baseball town- probably one of the best kept secrets as far as baseball towns go.

I agree about the corner IF guy. I think we are OK at middle infield with Stovall and Alexander.

BTW, Ryan is a High Follow on PG. A rising star. Currently we are ranked 11th by PG w out Ryan. Not updated yet.

I love that he throws a knuckle curve. That pitch is badass and you don't see it often.

That is the breaking pitch that Craig Kimbrel throws and is a knee buckler. Knuckle curve/spike curve/slurve is the same pitch.

Is that Kimbrel's 3rd pitch? Because he's primarily a 2-pitch fastball/slider guy. If it's his 3rd pitch, I think he threw it tonight. He threw something offspeed that wasn't his slider and looked a little like a 12-6 curve. Glavine commented on it, because we haven't really seen that pitch before and he wasn't sure if CK threw it intentionally or not.
