Nothing saved anything, he straight went out and beat Green Bay (in single digit weather) and spoiled New England's perfect season. I was rooting for GB and NE heavily at the time, so I remember well. Eli was freaking heroic in those games. It sucked, but damn, give credit where it's due. Without him they don't win it all.
