I'd be SHOCKED if he was on leave. I'd go so far as to say there's no way in hell that's true. HK is doing exactly what he's paid to do, which is to keep the "old guard" happy with misinformation and spin on the Black Bears.

Only way that happened is if they needed to furlough some people anyway and that gave them an excuse and really not even then.

That was not a good article and shouldn't have been written by the UM beat writer, but obviously the editor let it go through and even if he hadn't, it wouldn't be anything that would justify suspension. It's slightly on the wrong side of professional but not that big of a deal.

Exactly. makes no sense. the editor allowed the story to be run. Unless they haven't gotten a lot more flack behind the scenes about the story which is not likely considering the topic.
