Only when he is in a "passing posture"

Love this rule. I hate the targeting one but I like this one. Only cowards go low.

True, but if your about to get tripped, can you just act like your throwing? Kinda like drawing a foul in basketball?

Well you're most likely in a running posture at that point so I'd say no.

What would happen if a defensive lineman is crawling toward the QB and goes below the knee?

Little afraid it hurts our defense. I'm in favor of more protection for players, so hopefully it will help.

I am a little worried about this rule. I may just not know the whole rule but it seems to me that this one is a problem. What is a passing posture or i guess i should say what are they calling a passing posture?

I believe its only whenever you have a clear path, meaning no one is blocking you.

Great, The Brady Rules are trickling down from the NFL. These "player protection" rules suck. Last I heard, you WANT to tackle a guy like Dak low, because he'll run you the **** over if you try to go high. Take out the knees, he's going down. Turrable.

I don't like it.

JFF would have never been tackled behind the LOS with this rule. I understand the goal, but if there's a shifty qb, the DL may not be able to get to them in any way other than by diving at them. You throw a penatly on them for every time a qb plants to throw after a DL is lunging for him and DL are going to be frozen.

U are so right that was my point who is gonna make the call to throw a flag,it will hurt the defense just wait if we are beating a team like lus or bama watch the flags come out to help them,

Unless it's Bama, Georgia, Florida, or LSU QB. Then they will always be in a throwing posture
