We were never getting Spurrier. But what it is well documented we COULD have had at the time was Jimbo Fisher as HC and Muschamp as his DC in a package deal. Fisher's agent called LT to express interest and LT told him we already had our guy.....after Crxxm had already turned us down the first time. That makes me want to hang LT from the tallest tree in Starkville and leave him hanging for public display.

Could have hired Urban Meyer from Bowling Green instead of Croom. Would have probably ended up with Mullen now anyway.

Not to hijack, Mudgen, but it reminds me of when Bammer coulda hired Bobby Bowden (in '87) and instead we hired an intellectual elitist with an arm for throwing a brick.
