OT: Reputation Comments?

So, I've gotten a few notifications about it. Is there a way to know if its was a positive or negative comment? Is there any point in doing it, i.e. does it affect anything? Just curious how that works. Thanks

You have 5, all positive. Just click on your user name in this thread or my profile at the very top of the page. it's the last tab that says "reputation"

I don't think it really means anything on this board as it's not used much.
On other boards, it's more of a e-peen contest but if you get enough negative reps you can be auto-banned.

Not sure if it's set up on here like that..and You and several others have to have MAJOR amount of reputation points to put a poster that far in the negative.
