Good match up. Well done. We need to see 2 more home and home series. Would be pretty cool if we got a match-up with the Big-12 and Big-10 to cover those and have a matchup with each major conference in the first 8 years. I like the level of competition we have arranged so far. Interesting match ups with teams that are well respected, but typically not elite. Although past history shows they will have their once a generation trip into the Top 10 when we get around to playing them.

2016 - TBD
2017 - TBD
2018 - TBD
2019 - TBD
2020 - @ NC State
2021 - NC State
2022 - @ Arizona
2023 - Arizona

I've said for years thAt this is a great matchup for us. We may lose one or both games but the game is great for national exposure

Used to live in Raleigh, and despite NC State having an urban campus they are very similar to us as a fanbase, stadium, and school.

Very short drive from my house. Wish it was sooner.

Hard to believe we are looking ahead at a game this far in advance. If there are any true freshman playing in that game they are getting ready to start their 8th grade year in August. Who will make the jump from that to playing in a stadium like the one pictured above?

Few years back with Baylor.

I would like to see a couple of neutral site match ups between 2016-2019 and one more home and home
Something like this:

2016- vs TCU in Shreveport
2017- at Boston College (a trip to Boston would be pretty cool)
2018- vs Louisville in Atlanta Chick Fila Kickoff Classic
2019 - Boston College (Starkville)
2020- at NC STate
2021 - NC State (Starkville)
2022- at Arizona
2023- Arizona (Starkville)

Tailgating gonna suck

I was wondering the same thing. Obviously it levels out in the end but it sure seems like we always travel and then get a return trip.

Just about to say that. Don't see a single tent

Don't expect anything close to an SEC tailgating experience. They "tailgate" in gravel parking lots near Carter-Finley.

Never did weigh in on this. I think this a good matchup, although of course they're likely to win the ACC when we play them. I am wondering though, as are others, what about the nearer future? I'm glad to see NCSU and Arizona on schedule but that really seems like a long way off. I knew an announcement was coming but I really thought it would address the schedule much sooner. So, this is okay, but it still leaves me kind of "mah" because of the distance of time.

Personally, I'd rather play 9 SEC games than 8 and an ACC team. It's amazing that LT can still manage to be a pain in my ass.

I don't know about the near future, but I suspect we are going to end up in at least one and maybe (probably?) two Kickoff Classics. And then we'll probably have someone like a Washington State do a home/home with us.

My opinion on how to schedule these teams is to go with a buy high/sell low method. NC State was 3-9 this past season, so odds are good that if they don't turn it around, they're going to have a coaching change. That or the coach there now is going to have things pretty well settled in when we play them. If we're going to schedule a team 8 years out, we probably should find someone that has a coach that is doing pretty well, but is likely going to leave by the time we get around to playing them. We kind of accidentally did that with USM- we scheduled them when they were still winning 8-10 consistently but now we're getting them coming off of a 1-23 stretch.

So, if it were me, I'd shoot for someone like Oregon State or Georgia Tech.
