Since it's the summer and nothing's going on I'm continuing my series on the top moments/games in Scott Field's 100 year history.
Here is my top 10 from the era of 35K capacity and concrete stands on either side: http://maroonandwhitenation.com/2014/06/28/top-10-games-scott-field-history-1948-1985/

Well, I was a student and in the stands for the 1984 LSU game. And yes, the legend of Orlando Lundie still lives if just for that one game. Lundie was more Johnny Manzielish than Johnny Manziel in that game. The others were a little before I was really into college football though I watched the MSU-LSU game on TV in 1982 with the temporary lights (score was actually 27-24).

the only one of these that I can claim to have actually been at was the jim Kelly Miami game. the 2 things I remember was being an 18 yr old and was somehow against a chain linked fence on the sideline when jim Kelly was almost murdered by Johnny cooks but he escaped running for his life and braced himself against the fence to stop himself. I was right there in his face separated only by the fence and shouted "your lucky!". .shameless and not quite classy on my part but I was 18.
I also recall the end of the game we were on the receiving end of some (2 in a row) pretty questionable pass interference calls in the end zone that secured the win for us.

My bad, typo
He probably escaped Johnie Cooks that day; Harvey Hull was long gone by 1981

Before my time....my first actual memories are 1987, being up 14-3 on the buzzards and watching them slowly rip us apart and beat us 18-14. Should have been a omen. Either that one, or beating Memphis State 9-6.
