I watch some of it just to see how stupid these teams are. It's fascinating who they think is going to be great and the horrible trades that happen. They are all almost always wrong and only about 10 of these 60 players will be worth a shit in 3 years or even still in the NBA. The fail rate on the NBA draft has to be over 50% after three years.

Making the nba is very difficult. I just don't think there's 30 players coming in that are better than the worst 30 already there.

Love the first 6 picks so far, sorry I'm behind, I think every team has made a great pick so far. 76ers and Celtics got two studs imo

I can't watch more than a few minutes of any draft. They just don't hold my attention. I'll flip over long enough to watch the scroll and catch up from where I left off and then watch something else.

Very impressed with the Julius Randle interview, that guy is super sharp, another great pick, 7 for 7 imo

He's a steal. One of the only players that can score in any way in this draft. That being said, hi aren't drafting him to come in and start. He will have a very good 10-12 year career coming off the bench and starting some. Lot if value for those guys

First reach of the draft is by the Kings, I'm not surprised. Stauskis is a great shooter but you don't take him #8.

Traitor has really dropped already, he was projected as #15 to the Hawks I think and he keeps falling

I'm hoping Memphis. He could fill right in for Prince.

Stauskas is much better than you think he is. I'm guessing you think he isn't a great athlete because he's white.

The Celtics have had a phenomenal draft. Smart and Young could be a big-time duo in a few years.

And Julius Randle to the Lakers is the best pick in the draft so far.

My problem with the Stauskas pick is the team that took him. The Kings. I don't think he's a good fit there. It has nothing to do with him being white. He's a role player or a compliment imo. Kings should try to trade Cousins and a draft pick for Kevin Love. Anything to get Cousins out of there. He's a cancer. Stauskas will get swallowed up in that cancer hole in Sacramento. What are they doing with Jimmer?

Hornets take another UConn PG with Napier. Interesting pick.

Huh? You called him a reach at 8 and said you don't take him there. That indicates you don't think he's good enough to be that high of a pick, regardless of the team drafting.

I agree that the Kings need to get rid of Cousins. But Jimmer? You can have him as a shooter off the bench, or release him; it doesn't matter. He's not very good. Stauskas isn't Fredette, he is absolutely an NBA starter and has the potential to be a very good one.

A reach for him yes because in my opinion he's a role player and he's a 3 point specialist. I don't think that type of player should go that high and I really don't like the pick there because it's the Kings. Remember who they took last year with their 1st pick? Ben McLemore a 6'7 SG and they back it up with a 6'6 SG this year. That's a huge fail imo. Drafting two SGs in back to back years is stupid. Disagree all you like.

Ok, that's fine. I just disagree. I think Stauskas is a great athlete who can do far more offensively than just shoot. He isn't a spot-up shooter, either; he can create his own shot. He's also a good passer.

McLemore is 6'5" and he's just not all that good. The Kings have been openly shopping him, so they're obviously not sold. This is a really deep draft, but once those top guys were gone (of which I think Randle was the last), I think Stauskas is a great pick.

Spurs kill it again with Kyle Anderson the gigantic 6'8 PG as the 30th pick in the draft.

Jay Bilas and the other guys loved the pick. They showed how his game is much deeper than shooting threes. It sounds like you aren't fully informed on the kid.

D+ is the grade CBS gives the Kings for the Stauskas pick.

8 D+ Kings select: Nik Stauskas, SG, Michigan
Better talent here. Stauskas is slow to move and could struggle with the ball. Could have found another shooter.

http://www.cbssports.com/nba/story/24586226/2014-NBA-Draft-Round-1-Grades

USA Today rated the pick a D

8. Sacramento Kings: SG Nik Stauskas, Michigan

Aaron Gordon was a reach at No. 4, but this one is a true head-scratcher. Stauskas is a fine player, probably the best shooter available in the draft. But the Kings drafted Ben McLemore, who has more upside and talent, seventh overall. And he, too, was a sharpshooting guard who probably can’t play any other position. This pick simply doesn’t make sense, especially with Indiana power forward Noah Vonleh on the board. Power forward was a bigger need for the Kings, and Vonleh was rated as high as fourth on some draft boards. Sacramento discussed trading down, and they might have been able to do that and still land Stauskas or a similar-level player. Stauskas can score, but the Kings have scorers. Stauskas can shoot, but the Kings have a shooting guard of the future. Grade: D

Seems like they're stereotyping as well. He is in no way slow.
