This is interesting.

They've got a selection of former Bulldogs (plus Dan Mullen) and dollar amounts assigned to each of them. Choose who you want to build the best MSU offense ever, but don't send more than $15.

My picks:

Dan Mullen $3
John Bond $2
J-Rock $4
Ballard $2
Justin Jenkins $3
Michael Davis $1

It's a run-heavy spread option offense. John Bond does John Bond things. J-Rock is plays the Percy Harvin role, at RB and WR. Ballard is the workhorse. Davis punishes the defense. And with 3 RBs, why not run some wing bone!

Jenkins is serviceable at WR. Coulda spent more on WR, but I went with a more run-heavy route with guys that can also catch. I'm still second guessing not dropping a RB and picking up Marty McDole to go with Jenkins.

Hell, I'll give it a shot:

$3 Dan Mullen
$2 John Bond (No Omarr Conner or Rockey Felker? Seriously?)
$3 JJ Johnson
$3 Justin Jenkins
$2 Vick Ballard
$1 Michael Davis
$1 Tony James

I like PI's idea of a run-heavy spread option offense. The difference is I decided to go all in and make it a power running offense with physical, brutal backs. Bond gives me the most efficient QB. JJ & Michael Davis would absolutely punish a D. Good luck tackling those guys for 4 quarters. Justin Jenkins gives me a reliable target, a solid blocking WR, and a good second return option on STs. Tony James gives me a great return man, one of the best the SEC has seen. He's also a good blocker and has decent hands. Vick is my wild card. He's a workhorse with good hands. Imagine the Inverted Wishbone/Diamond with Bond, JJ, Davis, and Vick. Nasty.

My only regret is that I couldn't get Pegues into the budget. I'd love to see him in a Percy Harvin type role, lining up everywhere and creating mismatches with his speed and strength.

Dan Mullen $3
John Bond $2 (vastly under-valued IMO)
Dicenzo Miller $4 (Don't need a separate RB & AP)
Chad Bumphis $4
Mardye McDole $2

My fullback is playing a role when I run Diamond formation. Am assuming he will be of fine quality. Would really have liked to have Eric Moulds, but think being able to take both Bumphis and McDole trumps that. I want more than 1 WR threat to keep DB's honest and/or on-their-heels.

Jackie Parker $4
JJ Johnson $3
Mardye McDole $2
Dan Mullen $3
Derek Pegues $3
Would have like to have had Shorty McWilliams but for $5, would have had to give up too much.

$3 Dan Mullen
$2 John Bond
$3 JJ Johnson
$3 Justin Jenkins
$2 Vick Ballard
$2 Mardye McDole

Run the Diamond with Bond, JJ, Ballard, and a Fullback, or use Ballard as FB and put McDole or Jenkins back there. Then the Bone with Bond, Ballard, and JJ. With option pass to Jenkins and McDole.
