Why is Cohen so coy about reporting injuries? Seems like there's been a myriad of secret injuries that don't get reported until the summer. Even then, I'm not sure who actually shares the info.

This year, we had Hann with arm trouble and Robson with nerve issues. Last year, we had Porter with an eye thing. A few years back, Henderson had vision trouble, and there's been several others along the way. Anything short of surgery is top secret.

I can see how you would want to keep it under wraps if a guy is still playing, but why not report it if a guy gets put on the shelf? Seems like just a quick mention would help protect players from fan criticism and rumors.

Every coach is different and Mullen is the same way. In a way, he probably feels like he's protecting his players. I don't have a problem with it. There are some things that don't have to be discussed freely everywhere.

Protecting the players' futures by avoiding injury risk labels when at all possible by MLB...
