How much more evidence do we need to confirm something was definitely altered with their sticks all season? This is on top of their dramatic and questionable increases in averages and power stats this year compared to last year.

The other thing that is telling to me is it's not like it was just one pitcher who happened to shut them down. It's guys that have relatively average ERA's.

I could buy the "well, it was Randy Johnson" argument a lot better if it was a one game thing.

Yes it's very obvious they were not playing by the rules. Is there a reason they aren't checking the sticks from opening regionals through CWS finals? Can't be that difficult.

The umpires are lazy. You might start to see coaches around the SEC start to ask the umpires to check the bats more often now though.

Most OM folks will blame this on TD Ameritrade. If fact, a lot of media members are already doing that. It wouldn't surprise me if Ole Miss administrative folks twisted some arms to get the media talking about how much of a pitcher's park TD Ameritrade is.

They haven't squared up and hit more than 3 or 4 balls hard yet in 18 innings..
3 runs on 6 hits in 18 innings..
Allen and Orvis 0-11 with a walk... And none hit hard..

UM has been out-hit 15-6 so far. Opponents have had 21 runners reach base- UM has had 13 men reach base (with most of them being walks given to them). Opponents are some like 2-20 with RISP- UM is about 2-6. Every run they have came off of multiple walks/errors. Trent is legit, but the rest of their team has just been awful.

Shaved bats or not, it's crazy for UM to even still be in this thing. Luckiest team on the planet.

ETA: And don't forget, in game three of the ULL Super, UM was handed 11 free base runners, and ULL I believe had multiple errors as well. If we'd have had half as much dumb luck as them last year, we would have won the whole damn thing.

I'm sure some Ole Miss attorney has already filed some type of lawsuit against TD Ameritrade. They will have the fences moved into 150 feet for Thursday.

Bonner is trying to stay in good graces with the C-L. Don't blame him.

It's becoming more and more obvious now- they've already played the sample size and good pitcher card.

But let's go back to that good old stat called batting average. It's simply a measure of how many hits you get per at bat. If you are a good hitting team, you should still be able to get hits- even if they aren't home runs.

And coming into Omaha, Ole Miss had the highest batting average of all teams. So, why are the other teams getting hits and they aren't?

The 1 run vs Virginia was a result of back to back walks . The 2 runs vs Texas Tech were a result of two errors , one by the TT 1st baseman and the next by the reliever. They have been given all of their runs
