We are on the verge of 40 wins for only the 2nd time in 23 years

And only ONE since 1990. If we win 2 out of 3 vs USC, then we do that this season.

All seven of our previous 40-regular-season-win teams hosted regionals in Starkville and all but the 1984 and 1989 teams went on to the CWS. Both the 1984 and 1989 teams lost in regional finals (under the previous format, which is equivalent to making a Super Regional under the current format--final 16).

State did not lose a midweek game all season--we have never done that going back to the late 1970's. Maybe we have never done that before.

We've have a top 10 SOS- that's ridiculous. And it's been high all year-even before conference play started

Stans didn't play any top 15 rpi teams like south al., never mind ole miss again, that's really not a close comparison, try again.

Unfortunately, I have about convinced myself that Homedawg is right. I'm afraid it may take a sweep so that we can finish ahead of SC in conference standings.

Well if we had beaten ark 2out of 3 we would have a stronger case as far as SOS. Instead they have a leg up on us head to head.
