Our defensive secondary is who I'm interested in the most. If Dee and Hughes aren't 100%, is Market likely to be at safety with Cox?

We should be able to keep a fresh rotation of stud CBs on the field with Love, Calhoun, Redmond, Jiles, etc...

But what's it gonna look like vs USM in your opinion?

Dee is done. And if by some miracle he isn't, he is a lb not a safety. Market, cox, Evans and Coman at safety. Assuming Hughes isn't healthy, tony says he will be good to go. As engie said in a different thread, that's a tough injury to overcome.

I havent been this excited about an opener in years. Im glad we scheduled USM. Crowd will be electric.

Nobody has even thought about the possibility of them beating us. IF that happened, the wheels would come off. We wont lose but it is absolutely a must win.

I can't even begin to imagine the tailspin if they were to beat us. I can hear it now...["Hud!, Hud!, Hud!"]

Since no one has answered the question...

QB- Dak- shocking.
RB- Robinson
WR- Bear
WR- Morrow or maybe Robert Johnson
Slot- Jameon
H-back- Malcolm Johnson

LT- Clausell
LG- Clayborn
C- Day
RG- Beckwith
RT- Malone

DEFENSE!

DE- Preston Smith
DT- Chris Jones
DT- Eulls or PJ Jones
DE- AJ Jefferson

If it were me, it would be Preston DE, PJ at DT, Nick James at DT, and Chris Jones at DE.

LB- Richie Brown
LB- McKinney
LB- Wells

S- Market
S- Justin Cox
CB- Calhoun
CB- Love

We'll probably work in Redmond and move Calhoun to nickel during certain defensive formations.

K- Sobiesk, Bell, Reed Bigham, Guy from Michigan, Westin Graves, guy who win the punt, pass, kick contest against USM.
P- Bell

PR/KR- Jameon
KR- Holloway

Kicker to me is the only question. I have a feeling I'm going to disagree with the coaching staff as far as who the put out there on the d-line because I'm pretty sure my d-line group is the most talented. But I'm pretty sure Eulls is going to play and start and that Chris Jones will be a DT. They might put that Will Coleman JUCO guy out there at DE- I just don't know a whole lot about him. But overall, I bet I got it somewhat pretty close. Nothing to brag about since we don't really have a lot of question marks.

It's ironic to me because for years it seems like we schedule people at the absolute worst time. And all the time USM was having 8-10 win seasons they wanted to play us, and then we finally get them when they are down.

Thanks for answering Todd. I like your lineup, but I think B Brown starts over R Brown at LB next to Wells and McKinney. May be wrong though. And I would think Mullen has R Johnson start over Morrow

I had the same opinions when reading over his starting lineup. B. over R. very slightly. And Rojo over morrow easily

If we lose to the Buzzards something catastrophic happens to put team between now and opening day! Period. If we don't win 8 something very bad happens to this team. We have the talent and depth at the key positions, to win every game on our schedule.

I'm planning on making every game this year, home and away, including playoff games. I've only made every game one year, the 13 games we ended with a beat down of the wolverines. I hope I can witness another great year in person, and possibly a magical season.

Smith
Jones
Jones/Eulls/James
AJ/Eulls/Dale
Wells
BMac
Richie/Bennie

Secondary won't be decided until fall camp, but I'd expect to see a lot of nickle sets.

I agree with WMD 100%. I think Robert Johnson, Beniquez Brown, and Ryan Brown will definitely get the opening game starts.
