Teams nationally who have seen a revenue increase > 100%(their increase in coaching pay percentage):

Alabama - 101%(126%)
Arkansas - 111%(100%)
Oregon - 137%(220%)
Louisville - 113%(119%)
West Virginia - 139%(146%)
MSU - 174%(83%)
UNLV - 139%(148%)
Cincinnati - 131%(92%)
Air Force - 187%(153%)
South Florida - 112%(118%)
Boise St - 157%(102%)

So, despite paying Mullen big bucks -- and seeing some of the greatest revenue increases in all the country in the past 5 years -- our assistants are STILL getting screwed. It's past time to fix this -- and had we done it in advance, we probably could have held onto several of these hotshots we've lost over the Mullen years. Time to get with the program on this -- it's literally the last hold-over from the previous regime.

Yep. If people are really tired of boring, predictable play calling on offense and a revolving door of DC's- they will push this issue.

Oh and better assistants also means getting guys that are better recruiters at the position coach positions.

We need to break the bank and bring in some quality at the DC and OC positions, not to mention WR coaches, DB coaches and the like. 9/10 the more money you make, the more loyalty you ha, the harder you work.

I completely agree we need to pay our assistants more but I do feel like we have improved on our assistants with deshea townsend, billy gonzales, hopefully david turner, and geoff collins calling the shots on D. The question is and I think Todd wrote a piece on this during the football season what is it going to take to get Stricklin to fork it out. If our revenue is at a 174% increase why cant we increase there pay? This is something I dont understand, is our budget that small we cant afford to pay them more?
