We are going to make two polls, one for position player MVP, another for pitching MVP.

Brett Pirtle without question. The ONLY consistent player all year with the bat and on the field. We're going to miss his production and his defense.

Pirtle and Ross Mitchell.

Pitcher is tougher. Emotion makes me want to go Mitchell but instinct makes me want to go Lindgren.

Goat Holder

Pirtle and Holder. Last year would have been Renfroe and Real Deal.

I'm going Pirtle and Holder. Would of been Ross or Lindgren but they both had poor regional showings and well Holder didn't. That means more than just being great in the regular season. Are you great when it's needed most.

Pirtle and Ross

I went with Pirtle, because he was the most consistent guy and had the best combination of glove and offense. The only other guy who could be in the discussion for me is Britton, based solely on his glove at 3B and the way he solidified that position for us.

I agree that Pirtle should be the guy on this poll but where the heck is Seth Heck? He is not even listed and IMO he would be second in my voting. Don't know where we would have been this year had he not solidified the SS position and he hit over .300 as well.

I was thinking this exact same thing while reading the list. We were royally 17'd until he stepped in.

That's one way to look at it.... but not the way I look at it. All 3 were good, but Lindgren was great... beyond great. Without Lindgren, we might not have even had the chance for Holder to prove he was better than the others in our regional.

By the title position player, I voted based on position impact, not batting. Britton was absolutely lights out at 3rd. His ability to get to a ball hit his way and throw a dart all the way to first just amazed me. I see MLB guys that can't make that throw as consistently as him. His batting on the other hand must improve.

Call me crazy but I'd like a look at Britton on the mound or maybe even SS, he covers everything at 3b and he has an absolute cannon arm

Pirtle is a no brainer for this.
