Ole Miss has two shots to defeat the Washington Huskies to advance. They will meet at 2 p.m. today. If they win, the top-seeded Rebels will host a Super Regional.

Or not, if ULL wins.


Mississippi State can advance today as well, but they don't have the luxury of two bites at the apple. After losing to the University of Louisiana-Lafayette last night, they have to win against ULL at 6 p.m. tonight.

Well no shit. But why not frame the situation as it really was? Say, "MSU was in the same situation, until......"

Is it really that much to ask for unbiased (or not ignorant) news reporting from the state's biggest media outlet?

They should have unbiased and accurate reporting, you would think, but the CL's reporting has always been Pro OM. You would also think a reporter (if you call this person a reporter), would at least have a clue where OM would be playing, if they win, based on the the outcome of the UL Of L regional.

I didn't see a byline on this so I assume it was a copy editor or something. It's still awful and should be fact-checked but it's not like this was Bonner or Kellenburger who obviously know better.
