The team that has been the home team the fewest number of times is evaluated first. Since both teams were home once in this regional, the evaluation proceeds to the team that was the road team most. UL was the road team twice, MSU once.

Thus, the Cajuns are home for this evening's game. Should there be the if necessary Monday game, MSU would be the home team.

Here's my problem with this approach. ULL is adept at hitting hard-ballers. When they struggled, it was versus off-speed pitchers after they had faced fastball pitchers. I just don't see them having much trouble going from Ross to heat or Ross to other off-speed. They have adjusted to the off-speed stuff. I'd wondered pre-game if we'd have been better off bringing heat tonight then Ross tomorrow, if necessary.
