that one before even thinking about Ross vs Rajun Cajuns. Let's get a decent thread started there instead of putting the cart before the horse.

Agree.

I'd like for someone to post their typical lineup if we can find it. Avg, BB, K, bats L/R, etc..

Let's put a scouting report together

Nice. Thanks. Does it say if they bat left or right? I would look it up but I'm driving

I agree. This MSU team is just as capable of going 0-2 as they are 3-0.

while I agree that is what is going to likely happen, we have a load of threads about them and their place, yet we aren't guaranteed to play them. I would like to know about SDSU, even if you don't. Just saying, you can't forget we play a game before ULL

I just can't post anymore this week.

Someone just said we are just as likely to go 0-2 as 3-0. That means they feel like we have as much chance as losing to Jackson State as beating ULL. That's insane. I'll see you guys on Monday.

We do need to worry about these guys first. After Samford and some of our OOC loses this year, our focus needs to be high and I believe it will.

I've tried asking SDSU about their team but they don't seem to give two shits about their team.

Saturday - Mark Seyler (8-5), 3.99 - Right
Sunday - Mike Robards (5-4), 4.59 - Left

So odds are good we face Bubba in Louisiana. Hehe, how fitting. I think the thing that sticks out for SDSU is that their record is so skewed from home and away games. Will be interesting to see how going from the west coast to Lousiana effects them and if there is any jet lag effects. I know that when we went to Arizona I think that trip effected us negatively. I say we win 4-2 or 3-1 and do just enough offensively to win. I don't think we will blow them out.

Ditto this. There were a half dozen forums it seemed like but none of them had anything about baseball.

Check this out. If this really is their main starting lineup, they only have one guy that isn't right handed, and he's a switch hitter. So it would be crazy not to throw Fitts I would think....otherwise they could bat 9 right handers vs Mitchell or Laster.

1. Greg Allen - CF, Switch
2. Tim Zier - 2B, Right
3. Ty France - 3B, Right
4. Brad Haynal - C, Right
5. Seby Zavala - SS, Right
6. Steven Pallares - DH, Right
7. Ryan Muno - 1B, Right
8. Tyler Adkinson - RF, Right
9. Evan Potter - SS, Right

I'm not saying we should fall in love with So Cal recruiting but with seeing how UCLA and SDSU have almost zero baseball followings I gotta think MSU and what we can offer has got to be tempting to some HS studs in Cali once they come see how we treat baseball in the South.

Finally got an Aztec to talk about their squad. Here's his post.

Players to keep an eye on.

CF Greg Allen. Incredible speed. 25 stolen bases. Plays great defense. Solid at the plate. Leads off. Willie Mays-like catch for top play in tournament.
www.themw.com/#!/video-detail/J5dmIybjpHuCRTlovXRQBR-xZuz4Ea5U

P Michael Cederoth. Closer. 20 saves on the year- 3rd nationally. Erratic though. Can be lights out or get knocked out.

2B Tim Zier. All-time hits leader at SDSU. If you look up some of the names in our history, that's saying something.

3B. Tyler France. Last year's MWCT MVP. Turned that performance into a solid season. Batted .358, 3rd in the MWC. Pretty good glove and a good arm at 3rd base.

C Brad Haynal. Led team in HR with 12- 2nd in MWC. .571 slug% and 50 rbi, good for 3rd and 2nd respectively.

SS Evan Potter. No bat. Can show flashes of brilliant defensive play, then kick it around the next chance.

P Bubba Derby. Our #1. Who you'll probably face. 8-3, 2.69 era, 100K. Even though the name sounds like he's from the Magnolia State, he's actually a California kid.

The talent is there. Which makes it SO DAMN frustrating when they don't play up to it. Could make some noise in this region. May be a tough out if they can play to said potential. Should be a good matchup

Like Gavin Collins? Yeah, I'm cool with a few more of him.
