Wow, no kidding. OM would have maybe the easiest path to Omaha in recent memory. Yet I still think the "strain may be more than they can bear", and they'll work hard to 17 up that great situation, but I doubt this is how it shakes out.

That article had UM at #10 in rpi but that was from yesterday. They are now #14.

LSU and Florida are the national seeds from the SEC. Ole Miss is not a national seed. They needed to get at least to the semis to make it there and they did not.

The only way Texas doesn't go to Rice as the 2 seed is if they host also.

LSU will get the 2nd SEC natl seed now over OM . I think Houston gets sent to Oxford as the 2 seed there
