Bill Buckner - RIP

Mississippi State alum Bill Buckner passed away this morning after a long battle with Leukemia. Buckner served as the Director for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in Mississippi.

Buckner lettered at Mississippi State in 1965 and has the distinction of throwing the first touchdown pass ever thrown in then the 8th wonder of the world, the Houston Astrodome.

watching Him QB for Bull Sullivan was a thing to Behold. One memory etched in my mind was The player from Jones hitting Buckner in the face and breaking his Jaw. Scooba didn't wear facemasks.
