Leading the pack today, but six strokes behind Duke and three stokes behind Oklahoma. A top three finish at the NCAA Championships?

Still have a day and half left and have the tough side left today. But any top ten finish is a winner by me!

There is a fourth round, but two birdies and now we are just three strokes off the lead for the national championship. Duke has dropped two strokes in the last two holes. We're doing this with our top player having a bad round. If she comes back tomorrow, we could have a national championship in women's golf.

ETA: Now Oklahoma drops a stroke. State in second.

Is everybody sure it goes 4 rounds?

Looks like it only goes 3 to me -- at least by the leaderboard...

It is definitely 4 rounds, they just don't have the spot for the 4th round scores on the website yet.

Four years ago, women's golf was worse than our volleyball program. Really bad. Hired a new coach. Had a couple more lean years then:

Last year, they qualified for the 24 team NCAA Championship for the first time in school history. They finished 24th.

This year, they qualified in back to back years and are fifth headed into the final round. A top ten finish is an elite program.

Stricklin has done great with the women's sports hires. No doubt about that. It has yet to be seen what the Ray hire will end up looking like though.

What he will ultimately be judged on in my eyes is the Dudy Noble project. We need a grandstand rebuild- he can't half ass it.

I agree with you, it's just funny to see so many people who think he's terrible for some reason while our athletic program overall is almost undoubtably in better position than it's ever been, and it may not have ever been close.
