View Full Version : Would you support playing Ole Miss like Oklahoma and Oklahoma State play?

Every year, they play their conference series like this:

Game 1 in Bricktown Ballpark in OKC.
Game 2 in Norman or Stillwater
Game 3 in the other

Softball did this with Ole Miss a few years back, instead of playing all three games at a home field, they played one in Starkville, one in Oxford and one in Ridgeland.

Thought it was interesting.

UGA-GT is similar, too. Game 1 in Athens, Game 2 at Tech, Game 3 at Turner Field. That would be fine with me.

Yes, but that's a nonconf matchup whereas ours is not. Although I'd support this aesthetically, from an SEC competition standard I don't wanna be playing any more away games than we have to.... except for this year!! HA

I'd be fine with doing a weekend series with Southern Miss like that.

There is no good third place to play. Surely you are not talking about Jackson??????

Also, it helps demand for both of our season ticket packages the way it is.

Ole Miss at Mississippi State was the largest weekend draw in the history of college baseball. Hell no.

We're not friendly with those pricks. If anything we should pull a Bear Bryant and refuse to play them at their place.

We kill LT for a lot of things, but bringing the egg bowl back to campus was a good idea and he forced that. Everything possible should be held here.

Personally, I like it the way it is.

3 in Starkville/Oxford and 1 in Pearl midweek around Easter time.

I also like playing USM once in Pearl and letting that be it.
