we'd host just due to the number in attendance and revenue we brought in to the NCAA. I'd say it's highly unlikely we host unless we win tomorrow and beat a couple or three high rpi teams in the SEC tourney and then it might be iffy.

A win tomorrow probably gets us to #22 or #23 in the RPI -- a little ahead of where we were in 2012, but behind where we were last year...

Some people are projecting the SEC to have 5 hosts, but we won't be one of them, unfortunately. There's just too much ground to make up.

Somebody's going to be unhappy to have us in their Regional, though.

They may not host over those teams, but I wouldn't be surprised to see LSU host. And even if they don't, they're going to Lafayette. And in which case they will probably lobby to get moved to New Orleans at Zephyr Field to accommodate the millions of LSU fans that go to their games.

This is a year where 5 of 16 from the SEC is pretty likely. By far the biggest gap between the SEC and other conferences in terms of RPI in a number of years.

They aren't going to give the state of Texas 5 host sites either -- so it becomes a process of elimination.

Wondering that myself since it was last year! I still believe if we beat Bama tomorrow and win the SEC tournament we will host. If we lose another game AT ALL we will not host. I do actually think for once it is that simple.

Only way I even see us getting into serious contention. We have to win tomorrow. And do not need any upsets in the sec tourney. We need to beat vandy then Florida. And that still may not be enough. We have some bad losses and missed two of the sec's top 5 teams not including us in league play. They usually have the hosts selected that Saturday.

Ok all good points from everyone and now that the booze isn't giving me all of the confidence I should have said i feel like if we win today and win a couple in tourney I think they reward us. Just a hunch. I know looking at the rip, maybe only having 4 sec teams host may stop us but the NCAA does like the big crowds and money we would bring big dollars.
