Every year almost all draftees get expensive jewelry. Every one doesn't go broke. Hopefully they have good financial advisors to help manage their money.

Just young and stupid. What's funny is they probably won't have a good financial advisor. Look at clowney, he'll get about 24mil/4years...well these kids have never had jobs before, so they have no clue who Uncle Sam is..so go ahead and cut that 24mil into 12mil..then you gotta take their agents into account..that's another 3-4%...so now he's down to 11.5mil

Now if you were to give me 2.8 mil/year for the next 4 years, i would never have to work a day again for the rest of my life...but when you got these guys buying 100k in jewelry, gotta buy moms a new Benz..that big chunk of change begins to dwindle quickly

They know who Uncle Sam is. In some communities, he is the guy who gives you a check every month. Now things will change because Uncle Sam will start taking instead of giving.
