Was ARCGIS used to make this presentation? If so, what addons did you use? I am a Geography student and am curious. :)

It's custom software written from scratch using C# and Direct3D. The map is composed of Google Maps tiles wrapped to a 3D globe.

Speaking of this software...the chase team I just joined wants people to have this software. A guy I went through the basic spotting class with and will chase with me from time to time has a laptop he brings. He was looking at the analyst version of this software to buy to be able to get the 3D slice through the storms. What is the learning curve with this software? Do you need a masters in meteorology to use it?
