Randolph at C & Vickerson at DH = 2 automatic outs. I like Detz at 1B, although I personally would bench him altogether. But if we're putting him there, then either Garner or Humphreys HAS TO BE THE DH. Otherwise, we might as well just leave Rea at 1B and Detz at DH. It does literally nothing to help the lineup by moving Detz to 1B if you simply replace his shitty bat with a shittier bat in Vickerson at DH.

This will be just like the Missouri sweep. Cautiously optimistic at best. Cohen is being rewarded playing a crap lineup even though this is a really shitty team with worse problems then us. I am glad for the series win mind you but we can't do this lineup against Alabama or even Tennessee and expect to win.

Great job by Mitchell. Good first two games that saw unbelievable performances by Fitts and Mitchell. Go for the sweep tomorrow and like I stated earlier cautiously optimistic. We should take 2-3 from Tennessee next weekend and setup a very important series with Alabama to end regular season. We do need Rea in the lineup, Collins in the lineup and put Heck at lead off. I've been a Rea fan since day 1, but for whatever reason the "pop" has not been there. Who would've ever thought he would only have 3 home runs and they all came in one game??

He expands the strike zone. It might be him trying to do too much. When he stays within himself, he is a very good hitter.

There have only been two sweeps on the road this year in SEC play thus far- Ole Miss over UK, and MSU over Mizzou.

We just have to take it one game at a time. Agree about UT- we should take two of three from them, and Alabama is going to be tough on the road.

If Randolph catches like he did today, Cohen will play him. Collins has more talent and he will be fine in the future, but he's still a freshman right now and he's going through the SEC grind right now. It would help him out a lot if we had a guy like Mitch Slauter to take some of the load off.

We scored 3 and 4 runs last weekend in losses and you blamed the pitching against A&M. We had lights out performances this week with Fitts and Mitchell. We need to score more then 3 runs a game against good teams to give ourselves a chance. To expect lights out performances from Fitts and Mitchell every week is ludicrous. Just is. We need to put the lineup out there that gives us the best chance to win. Other then one inning, the kid blanked us. He wasn't pitching very well either. You hit the nail on the head. Really, the lineup LH/RH bull shit is the main thing I have questioned him on. He didn't go this outrageous with the lineup last year nor do I remember this big a descrepency in lineups in previous years. I guess we can blame this on no one really stepping up like they did in previous years. But I do agree Todd this is the main thing most people question.
