This is 6 months of work. With this work schedule, and our expansion, we possibly could have played in our expanded stadium last season.

More money and probably enough skilled workers within 2 hours

Its all about how much money your willing to spend.

Looks like mostly steel for the base structure that Is pre fabbed. Most of our base structure was concrete poured in place, which has a cure time before moving forward. The steel can go in as fast as they can bolt it in place.

That thing is monstrous.

You would have to be reeeeeeally dedicated to buy a ticket at the top of the End Zone. That is a very long way from the field.

It also helps to have nothing you're trying to work around. They obviously tore up the field and let them just go at it. It was a different project than ours.

It also cost $450 Million.

That buys a lot of schedule and they are still playing with reduced capacity next season.

They will actually have an increased capacity, next season. They will have fewer seats, than next season, after the west side is demolished and reconstructed.

2014 - 106,300
2015 - 102,512

Because that's what happens when a school in Texas joins the best conference in college football...they're not ****ing around..they're gonna be the best team in the conference in about 3 years

I bet you some vCash on that. They will not be the best team in the conference ever. Hell they could not even win the Big 12 how in the world will they win the SEC? With out Johnny Football their first season in the SEC they might have won seven games total for the year. Last year with out Johnny Football they win four games. They are going to get their asses handed to them this year. They lost three 1st round draft picks off their offense and that is going to hurt plus I just don't see their defense being any better. They sucked at the beginning of last season and they sucked at the end. It did not show any improvements.

I'm not betting they're the best program in the league that quickly, but they're coming on strong. They're taking over Texas- I'm confident they will win the league within a decade.

They have been recruiting really well...they'll have a much better D and their replacement for Manziel was one of the highest rated QBs in his class...plus they have a pretty decent coach

We'll see on their defense. If anyone thinks it will be much improved, it is based solely on recruiting rankings; Sumlin has never proven he can run a team on the field with a very good defense. I'm sure they have talent at QB and will ultimately be fine there, but a true freshman isn't going to step in and replace Manziel.

And Sumlin is a good coach but that's as far as I'm willing to go at this point. I'm certainly not sold that he's very good or great.

Their field was completely tore up and the Lower level of seats was gone within 48 hours after our game ended. That's how quick they moved on it.

aTm has money. Good for them. So does Arkansas. So does Alabama. So does LSU. So does Florida. So does Georgia. So does Tennessee. So does.... I fully expect a win vs aTm next year. And the next year too.

Manziel was good with his legs but his passing was made better by Evans who will also be a 1st round pick. That guy got Johnny out of trouble many of times last season.

And how many 5* QB's has Bama recruited? And they are waiting on a transfer to have (they hope) a decent QB this fall. Just because A&M has a highly rated high school QB coming in doesn't mean anything yet....

No kidding. Scooba, vhdawg, n8chaboy and I went to the game, cranes and other heavy equipment were already staged. Sunday after the game, demolition started. Our addition is $70 mil and change, theirs is $500 mil and change. A lot of that is "you have to get half done in 8 months, and the other half in 8 more". Labor is expensive.

I wonder what the reward/penalty in the contract looks like.

Really....then I stand corrected. I thought they had signed one of the top QB prospects in the nation in each of the last 3 years or so. Just thought they would be 5*.

Good gracious, that's over 5 times our expansion cost. They must be getting it done with a compressed schedule AND building everything out of gold and platinum.

They probably have 5 times the workers too. Labor is expensive, especially when theyre crashing the project.

You gotta think about it though...Most years bama's qbs are nothing more than a quality game manager..but when you got running backs and the line the have, then you really only need a game manager

Per Scout, Sims was a 5 star.
