Yep. I was looking at that earlier. They are in the catbird seat after this weekend. It's all laid out for them as well as it ever has been. If Bianco can't get it done now he needs to find something else to do.

So if the conference tourney started today we would be the 6th seed, playing on Tuesday. As much as I love going to Hoover for 2-3 days each year for the tournament, it really is pretty worthless most years, in the big picture.

I think Florida will win it and it looks like they are running away with it. 15 > 13 last I checked. Arkansas beat USC and Vandy and could give Ole Miss fits. They are not a good road team and A&M is good at home. Still could be anyone's SEC but I think Florida will win it.

Outside of their series with Alabama, Ole Miss has looked pretty good on the road. They could have swept the series in Starkville, had a chance to take the series against South Carolina, and just smacked around Kentucky pretty good. So I don't see how you can say they are not a good road team.

We are finding out really quickly Kentucky was vastly overrated.

So with the schedule Florida has down the stretch I am thinking they go 6-3. Ole Miss would have to go 8-1 down the stretch in order to tie for the championship. Now they are in the catbird seat to take the West but not overall. I think Florida is in the cat bird seat. I could see us finishing out at 17-13. None of the teams left on our schedule (including Alabama) scare me too much. Now if Cohen keeps whole selling the lineup, we will stumble down the stretch because the players we did that with last year are at least 2-3x better then this year's platooning players. Hopefully he figures this shit out before he over thinks us out of the post season.

Only 4 teams get byes. 8 teams play the first day in single elimination play. That leaves 8 starting on the second day (Wed.) in double elimination format.

I think it's each division winner plus the next two overall. IIRC the tournament is seeded where the top 2 seeds are the division winners and then the other 10 just come in down the line in order regardless of division.
