Wow. Just wow. This has got to be the best UMBear excuse I've heard regarding the 2014 GovCup if not a candidate for best Rebel excuse of the year.

At work this morning I've been told that it was correct that the scheduling of the GovCup was stupid and unfair...to Ole Miss. State apparently gets to just play thru, 7 games in 9 days, a a day's break between Mizzou3 and Govcup and then another day break before coasting right on into TAMU1. We get to keep our momentum going and cruise control on and got our confidence up, whereas Ole Miss had to finish up Saturday and had 3 days to get cold.

It. Is. Amazing.

Yeah, the "warmed up" complaint goes right out the window by just mentioning how we're spread so thin we gave a guy his first start and DIDN'T pull him after his 5th HBP.

When I drove from Starkville to Omaha last year, I didn't drive through Oxford.

I *DID* drive through Columbia, Missouri though, so I guess the road to Omaha does go through Mizzou.

We didn't have as much time to rest....

We were looking ahead to our upcoming SEC series that starts a day early on Thursday...

Our players weren't playing as hard, because they don't care about beating MSU as much as MSU cares about beating OM....

And on and on. What a bunch of pansy delusionists...
