I don't recall seeing anything on here about it but maybe I glossed over it. Forgive me and delete if it is Germans.

Meh, yes its nice and deserves recognition but its a individual title not a team title. 10th to 12th seems to be the best we can do there, used to blame the old coach but Dudley cant get it done either.

As Dudley told me one time. "People say that the SEC is a football conference. We're really a track conference. We finished 9the in the nation but that was only good enough for 6th in the SEC. That is how strong the SEC is every year in track." And this was before aTm joined the SEC.

To me, that's kind of like the first Gator Bowl year where we finished 15th in the nation but next to last in the SEC West.

MSU has had other individual championships. Tennis recently had a doubles championship and tennis in the '60s had one under Coach Sawyer if memory serves.

My apologies. You are right that tennis had a national championship in doubles: indoor in 1993 and outdoor in 1994. No singles or team championships, however.
