Saw on twitter. 3* but we were his only offer. Don't know anything else about him.

I live in Hattiesburg area. I'll have to make it a point to go watch FCAHS this season to check him out.

Sorry to bump an old thread...but why did we offer this guy so early? Why even bother with limited spots and Aeris Williams?

Not that these two are necessarily equal, but I'm glad we offered Chris jones early when no one had.

That's my thoughts too. Maybe we see something in the kid to make us think he will rise up the boards. Also, he could have a teammate or family member that is being recruited as well. One thing's for sure...there is a reason.

He missed three games or so last season and he still posted good numbers (I don't know how good of competition it's against). He also has the body type to possibly be moved to multiple other positions if needed (Matt Wells, Marcus Green, etc..).

According to his coach via Paul, he had 1,000 yards rushing before he missed four games with an injury and finished with over 1,300 yards rushing on the year. He'll be a RB and plays in MS 4A.

Video of the "X-Hammer" looks good - good moves and good open field speed: http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1071640/#highlights/32852380

Also, what that video doesn't show is the kid played all over the field in multiple positions on offense and defense. From what I understand, he even punted on occasion. That video just shows his running highlights. The kid is an all around good athlete. And he's a legitimate 6' 1" 200. Those numbers are not fudged.

With that said, I don't think it affects the recruitment of Williams at all. Williams is still a priority.
