Whitlow was 4th or 5th on UKs depth chart. They had 5 QBs in the spring: Patrick Towles, Whitlow, Drew Barker (highly touted frosh), Reese Phillips, AND Maxwell Smith. Not surprising.

I think the freshman is supposed to win --- but Stoops said last week that if the season started today, Whitlow would've been the starter.

At any rate, we played against Maxwell Smith but I don't think we'll have any trouble with Kentucky regardless of who they start. Interestingly, for the losers of 5 straight against us, they sure have no problem predicting that they'll beat us.

I'm pretty sure that was Whitlow. I know that he gave us fits two years ago until we injured him. Max Smith is serviceable and makes pretty good decisions, but he has a noodle arm that makes Bo Wallace looks like Drew Brees. When he did some damage against us, it was almost exclusively on bubble screens, short slants, and quick outs.

Whitlow leaving UK means nothing. He had already been asked by Stoops to move to WR. That's why he's leaving. If Stoops had already made the decision to move him over, then he wasn't going to play QB anyway.

Joekell leaving AM is different. They already took a big step back last season going from 11-2 and 6-2 SEC to 9-4 and 4-4 in conference. The only thing that kept them from 7-6 last season was JFF, and it absolutely amazes me that their fans are too friggen stupid to see that. One turned ankle, and AM may miss a bowl.
