Apparently several of you (and I won't mention you by name) are not aware of a fundamental baserunning rule in baseball but here it is:

YOU DO NOT RISK AN OUT TRYING TO TAKE AN EXTRA BASE DURING A PLAY WHEN YOUR TEAM IS DOWN BY MULTIPLE RUNS IN THE LATER INNINGS OF A GAME. THE RISK IS NOT WORTH THE REWARD IN THAT SITUATION.

I would think most baseball players would learn this rule starting in little league but since that is apparently not the case maybe at least some of our players read Elitedawgs on occasion. This has gotten to where it infuriates me because its one thing to lose when you can't pitch or can't hit or you make physical errors in the field but it doesn't take a lot to just NOT play stupid and apparently we can't even do that. We had the above basic rule broken not once but TWICE this past Friday night.
